About TQA

Techno Quality Assurance (TQA) started as a silly gift idea around 10 years ago for a picky and demanding techno-loving friend called Ecks. At that time, Ecks was going to techno events on most weekends, and most of the time he had complaints - about the track choices, the sets, the crowd, you name it - and typically, he was not wrong…

But when it was good, it was Oh So Good - and Eck's beaming smile and dedicated dancing til the end of the last track were infectious.

He became known for his very selective taste, and I had the idea of getting him a black t-shirt that looked like a club staffer shirt, with the words "Techno Quality Assurance" on it, hoping people might think he worked at the event and spark conversations about quality techno.

I did, he loved it, and it worked - people noticed and talked to him.

Over time, our intergenerational band of techno-loving misfits decided to expand the TQA concept to more of our friendship group. A friend of a friend created a professional logo, and more shirts were ordered. The TQA community was born!
